Tyler Hathaway is a psychotherapist, voice teacher and musician based in Philadelphia, PA. He holds a Master's degree at Antioch University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on trauma-informed expressive arts therapy.
In addition to his academic education, his voice teaching practice is informed by his training in Inside Voice techniques as taught by Jonathan Stancato; his familiarity with healing practices (including mind-body symptom treatments, cognitive behavioral therapy, breath work, and meditation); his acting training (Meisner technique) at the Actor’s Workshop of Ithaca; his experience as a collaborator and storyteller working in the film industry in Chicago and NYC; and over 20 years experience as a drummer and percussionist.
In addition to performing music with others, Tyler teaches a radical, mindbody approach to singing and voice, in the forms of private lessons and recurrent group classes in Philadelphia and remotely.
